Warning! You will be challenged.

You may think such a short book will be easy to read. And in many cases you would be right. This is not that book. You will not enjoy this book. You will be challenged by it. You will think of people you know, people you love as you read this book; you may even see yourself in it. In a world that is so afraid to talk about Hell, a book like this is needed. This book is fiction, but much of the imagery contained within is found first in God's Word. I am of the opinion that Hell will be far worse than mortal man can even begin to imagine, but I think the author does a great job illuminating what a terrible, terrible place it will be. I believe that this book may serve as a wake-up call for many people in the Church. And I am afraid a wake-up call is precisely what we need. "I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God." (Revelation 3:1b-2 ESV)

Sobering and heartbreaking

This book was a tough read for me, because it caused me to reflect on something I'd rather not (eternity in hell). As a christian, I live my life looking forward to the great gift of heaven, but forget to reflect on the fact that there really are two options for eternity, and hell is real and waiting for those who do not come to know and serve the Lord. The circumstances in this book are sobering, and heartbreaking. The scenes make it even more real to me as they are all interpretations of promises made in the Word regarding our eternity. The book was a quick read, and I highly recommend it for any christian as a reality check.

Powerful

As Christians, we all need a swift kick in the pants sometimes. We live in a generally comfortable society, and we need to be reminded of the urgent need we have to follow after Jesus with our all. If we are honest with ourselves, there is a general tendency of entitlement among Christians today, and we need a wake up call. The intention of this book is not to scare you into not going to hell, but to wake us up as to what we need to do in order to honor God while we are here, and make it to Heaven one day.
