An fantastic, compelling, inspiring read!

Wow! I couldn't put it down. This story is really a series of "stories" based on several individuals who on the surface seem "highly disfunctional". Really, they are no different than the rest of us, and I found myself relating to pieces of each of them. At the end of each chapter, the author cleverly offers a few introspective questions designed to help you explore the issue deeper if you'd like.
I especially liked the story of Alec, the workaholic who finally woke up when he realized on the morning of September 11th, that he had been booked on the flight from Boston to LA that was flown into the World Trade Center by terrorists. He had cut short his trip to return home early to his family--a move that literally saved his life and gave him a much needed second chance. I was also touched by the young woman who after a heartbreaking divorce, created the life and family of her dreams through focus and visualization.
Per the author, the stories are real, which makes them even more interesting. There's something for everyone. I found myself wanting to read the sequel. Let's hope she's got one planned.
