About the Author
Kathy Najafi holds an MAELT (Masters in English Language Teaching) from Reading University, London, U.K. She has extensive ESL/EFL teaching experience in the United Arab Emirates, Iran and the United States. Besides teaching all English subject areas, Kathy is a published author, editor, translator and curriculum developer. She is the author of numerous VESL manuals for Houston Community College and Lone Star College. Ms. Najafi is also creator, co-producer and host of HCCTV's 'Bridging Cultures'. A past president of TexTESOL IV, Kathy also enjoys presenting on Cross-Cultural Awareness / Intercultural Communication. She is currently a professor in the Intensive English Department at Houston Community College.

Cynthia Fettig has extensive teaching and training experience in the English Language Teaching field. She is also an experienced writer, editor, and curriculum designer. She has written and developed a wide variety of print, online, and multimedia products for learners of all ages, as well as resources for teachers around the world. About the Author

Paul J. Feldstein, PhD, has been a professor and the Robert Gumbiner Chair in Health Care Management at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine, since 1987. His previous position was at the University of Michigan as a professor in both the Department of Economics and the School of Public Health. Before that, he was the director of the Division of Research at the American Hospital Association. Professor Feldstein received his PhD from the University of Chicago.

Inaccurate information

Much of the information in the Medicaid and Affordable Care Act sections are inaccurate. The author clearly has a point of view about health politics and this shines through the writing throughout the book. While the overall concepts are clear, this book is in need of some significant editing.

This is the best I found

I am using this book to teach a class on Shaping Health Policy at a major university. I searched for a suitable text that was both up to date and tried to explain the big picture rather than becoming totally mired in details. Some of the texts, frankly, put me to sleep. This is the best I found. The text basically covers the early implementation of the ACA though it did not deal with the most recent Medicare amendments (hardly its fault). The book has good problems for students to work through, some useful charts, and contains a valuable bibliography. It takes what I would describe as a classic liberal economic approach to the issues, although often that leads to conclusions that many of today's liberals may not like. The prose is clear and there are excellent teacher resources. It also contains useful chapters comparing the American system with those of other nations. There are two areas that may bother some people: (1) the book is opinionated; I would describe it as somewhat conservative in its orientation; (2) the book does not integrate legal citations into its analysis -- for those who want to find out exactly what the law says, this is a disadvantage. I also wish the book had a little more on the role of Intellectual Property in shaping Health Policy Issues. All in all, however, this is an outstanding book on an incredibly broad and challenging subject. It must have been a HUGE amount of work to write it.

What I liked about this book is the simplicity. Franco is also Doctor of Chiropractic, so he knows a thing or two about bodybuilding. The fact that he achieved so much without having
any physical advantage proves it.
There are various tried and good programs/split routines for the non-competitive and competitive bodybuilders. Good tips on diet and on common sense healthy living, very actual even though the book was published in '82. Over all the book is pretty complete and is a good example on how they trained in the past.
The only funny thing is that in some routines, unlike Arnold in his Encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding, Franco omits a few power movements which are essential to give the bodybuilder that muscle density. He more than Arnold was famous for his extremely heavy deadlifts.

If you're in to bodybuilding you need this book

Along with "Pumping Iron" there are not many "great" books about bodybuilding. This is truly great as well though. Packed with oodles of information upon information from the strongest bodybuilder of all time, and it is the pictures
that are really worth the asking price alone. Franco knows his onions, and the book covers every stage from beginners up to contest standard physiques. Seek out this book!

Lacking such a figure among his own toys he breaks a rule and goes to his sister's room, rummages through her toys, and Voila! There is a Sir Bear - his sister's teddy bear. Out to build castles and adventures his older sister Justine intervenes and demands he give back her teddy bear. Benjy is angry and sad, and in his despondency he chats with his toy blue car, admitting his sadness about Justine's anger about his ploy. About the Author
Since childhood, I was fascinated by conflicts. Watching my peers fight, just about everything, sparked my interest. Why would they fight about such minuscule things? Were there hidden reasons for their quarrels? and most importantly, how did they always find the way to make peace with each other and continue on as friends, until their next big fight..?This curiosity led me, in my adult life, to studying for a�BA in Psychology and Communication�at Haifa University, and acting as the President of my University's Debating club. Resuming my studies, I joined the VAYOMAR Company (debate.co.il/#!home/mainPage).�I lectured all around Israel, teaching children and adults from all walks of life how to overcome stage fright, and acquire effective communication tools.After a few years, I felt there was much more to learn and so I attended Tel Aviv University, where I received my�Masters in Conflict Resolution.�I'm writing conflict management children's and parenting books. Conflict resolution sensitively illustrated in this fine book

She now writes and speaks widely about conflict resolution and here she demonstrates that depth of knowledge in a very well written book with excellent illustrations by Basra Owais.

Very Good Lesson for Kids to Learn

"No, It's Mine" by Shimrit Nothman is a fun story that teaches children a valuable lesson. Young Benjy wanted to slay dragons, but he needed a brave Knight to help him. He couldn't find anything in his bedroom that would make a good Knight, so he went into his sister's room to look for something. There, in plain sight, was Justine's teddy bear... perfect for being the brave Knight! So Benjy took Justine's teddy bear, and was having a grand old time pretending he and the Knight were slaying dragons, when Justine suddenly appeared and started to scream at Benjy, insisting he give back her teddy bear immediately. Benjy gave it back, but Justine kept yelling at him until she left the room.

Benjy was sad when he went back to his own bedroom, because he couldn't play with Justine's teddy bear any more. His own toys saw he was sad, and one by one they came to give him advice. Finally, while in bed that night, Benjy decided to apologize to Justine in the morning.

As things turned out, Benjy and Justine ended up playing together, and they were both happy. "No, It's Mine" takes a very common childhood situation and turns it into a lesson on sharing. The point is quite plainly made that things work out better for everybody, if they just cooperate with each other, and respect each other's property. This is a valuable life lesson that every child should learn. Perhaps even some adults could stand to learn that lesson, too! "No, It's Mine" is a good book to have on any child's bookshelf.

Its a great book. My son loved it because it was funny and he was able to identify with the main character. Also a great tool to help me talk with both my kids about sharing.
